About Embers for Access Foundation
Embers for Access Foundation was created to bridge the growing gap between need and access, helping families who face waitlists, funding caps and financial hardship find real pathways to therapy and support.
Across Ontario, families wait years for help through the Ontario Autism Program. Others struggle with delayed insurance payments or out-of-pocket costs that make consistent therapy impossible. These barriers have lasting effects on children's growth and family wellbeing.
Embers was built to change that.
Our mission
To make evidence-based, compassionate therapy accessible to every child, regardless of geography, background or circumstance. No child should miss out on early intervention or essential support because of financial or systemic barriers.
Our vision
A future where neurodiversity is celebrated, where barriers to therapy are eliminated, and where every child and family has the opportunity to thrive through accessible, personalised support.
Our partners
One of our founding partners is Mount Etna Child & Family Services, with locations in Toronto, Oshawa and Bowmanville. Additional partners are joining from urban, rural and Indigenous communities to ensure equitable access.
